In this project I collaborated with the artist Tamara Mladenovic. My aspiration was about how to bring a dancer - connected strong with her body and the Natural World - to the perennial forest of Koziakas, in order to connect her with the ancient trees. My question was: “How a human being could identify with a dead tree, get into a phantasy state of connecting with the spirit of it, trying narrating its circle of life to humans?” So, I dressed her with ferns and wild cereals, and then she sat on a cut ancient chestnut which was formed exactly like a throne, as if it had been made for her. Her improvised kinesiology formed a biographical narrative concerning the tree’s circle of life and death.
