COME    video - performance

Since I was a child, I used to climb on trees, knowing that this was one of the best ways to meet, learn, and consequently communicate with them. The most important factor which made me involved with this project is the world illegal logging and deforestation, which is responsible for the cutting of 3 to 6 billion trees per year, and the destruction of immense areas of forests all around the world.

In this project two important things have happened; first I began becoming aware of them due to our physical contact, and secondly by climbing and staying at their space, in their foliage silent and motionless, I found a way letting myself feel and express my solidarity, my support, my sorrow and my pain about their dying, their potential forthcoming slash.

These pilgrimage performances have taken place on numerous trees around my area where some of those maybe will not be there the next winter.

“Before and After”, “I see you dying”, “You will die”, “I love you”.
