Collaborating with Nature
This work deals with materials and technology that have been used by the late humanity, and green technologies used nowadays. Natural materials such as wood from beaches and mountains, row skin, bones, insects, clay, straw and natural adhesives, have been gathered from the countryside, and pieced togehter along with audiovisual systems and solar technology.
The work intends to create a dialogue, between modern humans and the Natural World. It is a necessary dialogue, as people use to live in isolated human centered environments, away from natural landscapes. This is an approach to assist in the opening of new roads of understanding, human and non-human nature. Having in mind the Εcological Crisis, my work attempts to negotiate with two key issues that the 21st century faces, and these are the independence of society on oil, the rapprochement of the natural way of living with new technologies,and the question/critisism of Anthropocentrism.
