As an artist, I have been involved with various means of expression, such as sculpture, painting, drawing, performance, video art, and jewelry. The main reason I create jewelry, is the love and admiration I have for female nature.

Earthbound jewelry is made out of clay collected from the the Greek countryside, as well as clays from around the world. The clays that I choose to work with, have unique colors and textures, since they are collected after a long search into the wild. The process of collecting the clay is very similar with that of creating the beads. They both involve all human senses and require a deep understanding of nature and its forms. Cleaning up the soil, mixing up the different ingredients etc. are all integral part of the processes.
Each single bead is made by hand, and they are fired in a special kiln at approximately 1000 degrees C (1832 degrees F). The colour of the jewelery is completely natural. It is the raw colour of the clay when it comes out of the kiln without any further colouring with artificial paints, enamels, or glazes.
Earthbound jewelry is inspired and influenced from Nature’s forms and shapes, specifically from those of plants, and marine organisms.
